JanuaryInstallation Banquet Each January we host our Installation Banquet. This is a banquet to honor our retiring board members and swear in the newly elected board members. The banquet is traditionally held on a Friday evening and is open to the public. The evening consists of a catered dinner, awards, installation of officers, and special entertainment and/ or a guest speaker. Call the Chamber office for ticket prices.
**This year's banquet is scheduled for January 18, 2008. Special Guest Entertainment will be Rich Vickers as Elvis Presley. Call the Chamber office for ticket prices.
Sweetheart Trivia Night Trivia lovers are invited to enter as couples or teams of eight players in this 10-round contest featuring 10 questions per round. The evening consists of dinner, wine tasting, dessert auction and much more. There will be cash prizes as well as lots of door prizes. The event is held at Elizabeth Hall in Leadington and begins at 6:00 p.m.

MARCH Smoke on the Mountain The Park
Hills Lions Club and the Chamber co-host the Branson Musical "Smoke on
the Mountain." Laughter rolls in like the morning fog in the Ozark
Mountains! SMOKE ON THE MOUNTAIN, is a magnificent blend of story and
song. This smash hit is the dazzling jewel of Branson! Let us take you
back to a simpler time, 1938, where you become the congregation of Mount
Pleasant Church. You have been invited to their "first ever Saturday
Night Sing". Pastor Oglethorpe is determined to move his flock into the
"modern world", by inviting the Singing Sanders Family to join him.
**The 2008 presentation of Smoke on the Mountain will be Saturday, March 15th, 2008. Call the Chamber office for ticket pricing.
Chamber Golf Tournament The Annual Chamber Golf Tournament is held each year at the Terre Du Lac Golf Club. This 18-Hole, 4-Person Scramble is a big hit among many. Cash prizes, door prizes, a free meal, and unlimited drinks are just a few reasons why. Hosted by the Park Hills - Leadington Chamber, and sponsored by a number of local businesses, this is not just for Chamber members. All golf lovers are invited to play.
**This year will be our 9th Annual Tournament. The date for this year's tournament is Friday, April 11th, 2008 with a rain date of Friday, April 18th, 2008.
MAY Spring Fling Carnival Hosted by the Chamber of Commerce, Davidson Amusements will be presenting a variety of carnival rides, games and concessions. To be held at the corner of highway 67 and Flat River Road in Leadington.

Annual Firecracker Run This annual 5K Run and 1 Mile Run/Walk continues to grow in size and event coordinators are hoping for an even bigger event this year. The proceeds are to benefit the annual Foster Children's Christmas Party. Awards to top overall male and female, and to three male/female per category in 1 Mile and 5 K Runs. Under 15, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+. 1 Mile Walk: Ribbons to all finishers.

AUGUST City Wide Yard Sale Featuring hundreds of sales throughout two cities! Residents of Park Hills and Leadington have the opportunity to sell their "has beens" to hundreds of prospective buyers from all over. Special permits and maps are sold at the Chamber office.

SEPTEMBER Tour De Parkland The Chamber will host it's first bicycle ride "Tour De Parkland". The ride will feature 3 different distance rides for riders of all experience. More details available soon!!

Annual Bi-City Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting The Cities of Park Hills and Leadington join forces to officially kick-off the Christmas season with a double tree lighting ceremony and parade that begins in Leadington Plaza and ends at the Park Hills Farmer's Market. This beautiful light display begins at dusk and includes special performances by area organizations, as well as a highly anticipated visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Foster Children's Christmas Party This is the Chamber's most heartwarming event of the year. Every year, the Division of Family Services provides us with a list of more than 150 children in St. Francois, Madison, Washington, and Ste. Genevieve counties who are currently in foster care, and their Christmas wish lists. Chamber members "adopt" these children and pledge to buy Christmas gifts for them. Once the gifts have been collected, we host a Christmas party for the Children which includes snacks, a visit from Santa, and any other party favors collected. This a truly touching event.
